Ogilvie colleagues have once again chosen the charities to support this Christmas, an Ogilvie tradition in lieu of sending Christmas cards.
Ogilvie Fleet will be making a donation to three brilliant charities:
The MNDa funds research, improves care and provides support for people with MND, their families and carers. Their fundraising provides research grants and financial support people living with the disease, as well as taking nearly 6,000 phone calls to their helpline last year.
Coppafeel is a breast cancer awareness charity founded in 2009. It aims to inform younger people about how detecting cancer early means you have a higher chance of surviving and recovering.
It has created checking tools and awareness campaigns and events that have received national recognition.
My Name5 Doddie was set up by Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir after he was diagnosed with MND in 2017. After he sadly passed away in 2022, it looks to honour his vision of a world free from MND.
The foundation has 5 main areas of focus: Research, Support, Awareness, Sustainability and Love, Fun & Hope.
Elsewhere, our head office staff have been busy collecting over 150 presents for the Stirling Observer’s Give a Gift Appeal, ready to be donated to local children and young people in need.
Our colleagues across the UK have also raised money during last week’s Christmas Jumper day, making donations to lots of local charities close to our offices.
Our generous colleagues in Sheffield have also been donating extra food and household items to the S6 Foodbank which supports local families in need.
