Gordon Stephen, Ogilvie Fleet Managing Director, has been recognised alongside an elite bunch of industry professionals by being inducted into the Fleet News Hall of Fame.
The award recognises and honours those people that have made an outstanding contribution to the fleet sector during their career and was presented at this week’s FN50 Annual Dinner.
Fleet News Editor in Chief Stephen Briers presented the award to Gordon, who has been Ogilvie Fleet MD for 22 years, at a black tie dinner in London’s Park Plaza Hotel. Alongside some industry awards, the event also reveals the list of the UK’s largest leasing companies, as Ogilvie retained it’s 15th position with over 17,000 cars on fleet.
Here is what some of Gordon’s colleagues had to say about him:
“Over the years Gordon has inspired and mentored me to be a better executive than I ever thought possible. He is always fair, honest and considered in every aspect of the way he works, and has the absolute respect of every single person around him. I owe him so much for the way he has developed my career and him being inducted to the Fleet News Hall of Fame is entirely correct and fitting after his many decades of building the UK’s greatest privately owned leasing company”.
Nick Hardy – Sales & Marketing Director, Ogilvie Fleet Ltd.
“I’ve worked with Gordon for many years and he has proven to be an excellent mentor. His knowledge of the industry and the people in it is second to none. It is, and has always, been a pleasure to work with him”
Jill Stephen, Customer Services Director, Ogilvie Fleet Ltd.
“Over the past 30+ years, Gordon has built a magnificent business for the Ogilvie Group. It is almost impossible to put in to words my gratitude for his hard work and commitment over the years and indeed, that commitment continues today and hopefully for some time to come. Above all other positives, his total belief in the power of his team, unwavering commitment to fairness and delivering the highest levels of customer service are the elements that I believe define Gordon. He is a true gent, an honourable man…..and a relatively good golfer too. His induction to the Hall of Fame seems an extremely fitting tribute for the years of work at the forefront of the UK’s Fleet Industry”.
Duncan Ogilvie – CEO, Ogilvie Group Ltd
Congratulations from all at Ogilvie Fleet.
