Leading air quality and ventilation solutions provider Flakt Group completed a total overhaul of their company car and van policy with the appointment of Stirling-based Ogilvie Fleet.
Ogilvie are providing a total fleet management solution for Flakt Group and have already delivered the first batch of cars alongside a bespoke fit out of their engineer’s new vans.
The Ogilvie Fleet solution started with a deep dive into Flakt’s current policy, which was based on monthly rentals, to see where changes could be made to make savings and improve the fleet’s efficiency. The new policy has been rewritten from scratch, based on the unique Ogilvie True Cost which factors in total costs of ownership over the life of the vehicle. This has resulted in a movement of driver grades but also allowed the introduction of plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles for company car drivers, resulting in significant Benefit-In-Kind tax savings.
John O’Leary, Purchasing Manager of Hereford-based Flakt Group commented how Ogilvie stood out from the crowd during the search for a new fleet supplier;

Ogilvie’s partnership with van racking solution providers System Edstrom meant a bespoke racking system would be built to help Flakt’s engineers across the country. The process involved a site visit and tour of Edstrom’s facilities in Corby, followed by driver surveys to establish the exact requirements of the vans. A prototype was then built to this specification – which included a fully kitted out conversion, giving Flakt van drivers a functional, smart and safe mobile workshop. Final feedback was then gathered from drivers before putting the racking into production alongside the impressive new van liveries.

The company vans have been fitted with Webfleet technology supplied by Vtec Solutions which will improve efficiency with job scheduling, fuel management, driver safety and accident reduction.
