Ogilvie Fleet has cemented its position as Britain’s best contract hire and leasing provider scooping two trophies in the annual awards from trade publication BusinessCar.

The awards for Leasing Company of the Year - up to 25,000 vehicles, and the highly competitive Customer Service Award add to the clutch of trophies won by Ogilvie Fleet already this year and make it 20 titles collected so far this decade.

Gordon Stephen, managing director of Ogilvie Fleet, which operates a fleet of more than 15,000 company cars and light commercial vehicles, was presented with the two newest awards in a glittering ceremony at London’s Park Plaza Hotel.

The BusinessCar Awards were judged by a panel of industry experts, including fleet managers, and the publication’s editor Debbie Wood said: “We are delighted to have awarded Ogilvie Fleet not one but two awards this year. Ogilvie Fleet’s recent innovations and investments have paid off, putting the company at the forefront of delivering technology solutions to fleet managers and drivers.

“Ogilvie Fleet’s commitment and passion for its customers is rooted in its culture and the company has set the bar high for great customer service. Our judges were extremely impressed.”

In addition to the BusinessCar Awards, Ogilvie Fleet, which continues to experience significant growth as it targets a fleet size of 20,000 units over the coming years underpinned by industry-leading customer service and cutting-edge IT vehicle and driver solutions, has already this year won:

- The Experteye Award for being the best vehicle leasing and fleet management company with more than 250 vehicles for service to customers thus becoming the first business to win a Fleeteye CSI (customer satisfaction index) award seven times in succession (2010-2016).

- Fleet Technology Awards - known in the industry as the ‘Techies’ - from BusinessCar magazine for being the best leasing and contract hire company and having the best app, its ‘Happy Drivers App’.

BusinessCar Techies Awards 2017

Ogilvie Fleet notched double top in this year’s fleet industry ‘Techies’ - the annual awards that recognise the fleet industry’s technology-specific products and services across all areas of the business car market.

Ogilvie Fleet won the Leasing and Contract Hire Award for the fourth time in the past five years for the continued evolution of its MiFleet Showroom online reporting tool, and the Best App for its ‘Happy Drivers App’, which is available to the industry at large, not just company car and van drivers and fleet managers that are customers.

The two awards further cement Ogilvie Fleet’s position as the number one contract hire and leasing company for providing the most technologically advanced and sophisticated management and information solutions to customers.

Lance and Sarah

Business is booming for Ogilvie Fleet which has recruited a further two members to its South of England sales team.

The company has seen the number of company cars and vans on its books under lease and fleet management arrangements expand to more than 15,000 units as it targets a fleet of around 20,000 vehicles in the coming years.

Now Sarah Craig and Lance Spencer have joined the South of England sales team led by director of sales Jo Clark and supported by sales managers Mike Wynn and Jamie Arkell.

Sarah has enjoyed a career of more than 15 years in the contract hire industry, holding front line sales positions with both Leaseplan and ALD. Sarah joins Ogilvie Fleet from Daimler Chrysler Fleet Management, where she held a new business and account management role for the Southern region.

Meanwhile, Lance, a former apprentice footballer at Bristol Rovers, joins Ogilvie Fleet from the Toomey Leasing Group where he has successfully grown the Southern region over the last two years

FleetEye
Fleet decision-makers have voted Ogilvie the UK’s top vehicle leasing and fleet management company for service to customers in the 2017 Experteye awards.

Topping the category, which recognises service to fleet operators with more than 250 vehicles, makes it an unprecedented seventh year in succession that the contract hire and fleet management specialist has won an Experteye award.

Fast-growing Ogilvie Fleet has, in recent years, seen the number of company cars and vans on its books under lease and fleet management arrangements expand to more than 15,000 with industry-leading customer service and cutting-edge IT instrumental in underpinning that growth.

The latest triumph further builds on Ogilvie Fleet’s quintet of customer service awards and a customer innovation award won in the previous six years thus further underlining the company’s leadership of the UK contract hire and leasing industry in putting clients first.

The Experteye awards cover eight different fleet and automotive categories in total. Ogilvie’s Fleeteye CSI honour is based on results obtained throughout 2016 from Experteye’s market-leading post-sale customer satisfaction survey, drawn from a subscriber base of top leasing companies in the UK.

Attention to detail and a straight-forward business approach has helped Ogilvie Fleet win a four-year full outsourcing contract to provide vehicles and a range of services to Hampshire-based Raymond Brown Construction.

The construction company, which has offices across southern England and Wales, and operates in multiple work streams including the core specialist areas of energy, rail and building, has turned to Ogilvie Fleet after facing “challenges” with other vehicle suppliers in recent years.

Both Ogilvie Fleet and Raymond Brown Construction are privately owned businesses and each can trace their history back to 1953. The two companies also share the same unstinting commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service with integrity, accountability and professionalism.

The comprehensive outsourcing contract will see multi award-winning Ogilvie Fleet provide and maintain 140 vehicles.

Initially, legacy management of previous suppliers’ vehicles will be provided with new company cars delivered as current models on the fleet reach the end of their fleet life.

Furthermore, the contract includes a comprehensive range of additional services from Ogilvie Fleet’s portfolio including: fleet management and maintenance, fuel card management and employee driver licence validation.
