Handing back your salary sacrifice vehicle

Whether your contract is ending, or you are leaving your employer, here are the steps to return your salary sacrifice vehicle.

Leaving Your Employer

If you are resigning, being made redundant, dismissed, or retiring, please email help@ogilvie.co.uk to arrange the collection of your salary sacrifice vehicle.

Ogilvie should be notified at least four weeks before your departure, and the vehicle will usually be collected approximately three weeks prior to your last day.

Contract Ending

If you are returning your salary sacrifice vehicle to Ogilvie at the end of your contract, whether you plan to take a new car or simply hand it back, please email help@ogilvie.co.uk to arrange for collection.

Things to consider before handing your salary sacrifice vehicle back

Clean Your Car

Ensure your vehicle is clean and tidy, both inside and out.

Keys

Remember to bring both sets of keys on collection day.

Accessories

Make sure all accessories and equipment that were provided at delivery, including charging cables, are in the vehicle.

Report Damage

If you notice any damage, contact our team to report it, especially if it falls outside of BVRLA guidelines.

Insurance Notice

Please note that insurance coverage will end when the car is collected. We cannot repair any damage through insurance after collection.

Personal Items

Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle, including paperwork and documents.

Service and MOT

Ensure the vehicle has a valid service and MOT (if applicable) and that the tyres are legal.

Charge Vehicle

Electric vehicles should be fully charged for collection.

End of Contract Damage

Please refer to the BVRLA fair wear and tear guideline BVRLA Guide

Excess Mileage Charges

If your vehicle exceeds the agreed mileage upon return, Ogilvie will apply an excess mileage fee. This will be calculated by multiplying the excess miles by the per-mile rate outlined in your contract. The cost will be invoiced to your employer, who will then deduct it from your salary.
