More awards success for Ogilvie fleet as online reporting tool MiFleet retains top ‘techie’ title!
Now operating a fleet of more than 11,000 company cars and vans, we’re delighted to announce that we have won the Leasing and Contract Hire category of the annual BusinessCar Fleet Technology Awards - known in the industry as the ‘Techies’ for the second consecutive year.
The Award was for our introduction of more driver and fleet manager friendly enhancements to MiFleet Showroom 2, the successor to the original MiFleet Showroom, which secured a highly commended in ‘The Techies’ two years ago.

Topping the category which recognises service to fleet operators with more than 250 vehicles further extends the contract hire and fleet management specialist’s record of winning an Experteye award to an unprecedented eighth year in succession, and the third year in a row for customer service.
Fast-growing Ogilvie Fleet has, in recent years, seen the number of company cars and vans on its books under lease and fleet management arrangements expand to 16,500. In the past 12 months the company has secured more than 60 new customers, with industry-leading customer service and cutting-edge IT instrumental in underpinning that growth.

The Experteye awards cover nine different fleet and automotive categories in total. Ogilvie Fleet’s Fleeteye CSI honour is based on results obtained throughout 2017 from Experteye’s market-leading post-sale customer satisfaction survey, drawn from a subscriber base of top leasing companies in the UK.

Ogilvie Fleet has cemented its position as Britain’s best contract hire and leasing provider scooping two trophies in the annual awards from trade publication BusinessCar.
The awards for Leasing Company of the Year - up to 25,000 vehicles, and the highly competitive Customer Service Award add to the clutch of trophies won by Ogilvie Fleet already this year and make it 20 titles collected so far this decade.
Gordon Stephen, managing director of Ogilvie Fleet, which operates a fleet of more than 15,000 company cars and light commercial vehicles, was presented with the two newest awards in a glittering ceremony at London’s Park Plaza Hotel.
The BusinessCar Awards were judged by a panel of industry experts, including fleet managers, and the publication’s editor Debbie Wood said: “We are delighted to have awarded Ogilvie Fleet not one but two awards this year. Ogilvie Fleet’s recent innovations and investments have paid off, putting the company at the forefront of delivering technology solutions to fleet managers and drivers.
“Ogilvie Fleet’s commitment and passion for its customers is rooted in its culture and the company has set the bar high for great customer service. Our judges were extremely impressed.”
In addition to the BusinessCar Awards, Ogilvie Fleet, which continues to experience significant growth as it targets a fleet size of 20,000 units over the coming years underpinned by industry-leading customer service and cutting-edge IT vehicle and driver solutions, has already this year won:
- The Experteye Award for being the best vehicle leasing and fleet management company with more than 250 vehicles for service to customers thus becoming the first business to win a Fleeteye CSI (customer satisfaction index) award seven times in succession (2010-2016).
- Fleet Technology Awards - known in the industry as the ‘Techies’ - from BusinessCar magazine for being the best leasing and contract hire company and having the best app, its ‘Happy Drivers App’.
Ogilvie Fleet have been shortlisted for the 'Excellence in Customer Service Award' in the 2012 Sheffield Business Awards.
The Sheffield Business Awards are seen by many as the event to be at and to be seen at in the South Yorkshire region. This year celebrating it's 11th year and regularly attracting over 1000 guests, the event is now firmly established as the regions premier showcase of business and enterprise.
The event is organised by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. The awards are designed to recognise and reward Sheffield city region business success with the awards categories being refreshed each year to reflect the regions expertise and skills.
Once again our industry leading customer service has been recognised with an award! We were revealed as the winner of the 2013 FN50 Customer Service Team Award at a gala dinner attended by more than 850 leading fleet industry figures at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London.
This year it was our Disposals Team of Rose Anne Roy (team leader), Lianne Dick and Lauren Rutherford that won the Award for providing customer service excellence to our clients. This follows a win in the 2012 FN50 awards when our Customer Service Team was triumphant.
Additionally, Daily Rental Operations Manager Ian Bennett, who joined Ogilvie Fleet in October 2012, was highly commended in the 2013 Customer Service Rising Star Award category. Following Ian’s appointment our Daily Rental operation has more than doubled with further growth anticipated. Well done guys and girls!
Fast-expanding and customer-focused Ogilvie Fleet has won its first industry ‘Oscar’ capping a remarkable awards-laden start to 2012 for the business.
Ogilvie Fleet, which has seen the number of company cars and vans supplied to customers increase to almost 11,000 in the past 12 months, won the Best Customer Service Award at the annual awards hosted by industry publication Fleet News.
Fast-growing Ogilvie Fleet will be gunning for a hat-trick of Leasing Company of the Year up to 25,000 vehicles trophy wins in 2019 after retaining the title in the annual awards from trade publication BusinessCar.
The win, Ogilvie Fleet was also highly commended in the Customer Service Award category, also meant a hat-trick of industry awards in 2018 as the company had previously won Best Daily Van Rental Award at the 2018 Van Awards hosted by sister publications Van Fleet World and Vans A2Z and was named the UK’s top vehicle leasing and fleet management company for service to customers in the 2018 Experteye awards.
Averaging more than two industry awards per year this decade, Ogilvie Fleet has increased its leased fleet size by more than 1,000 company cars and van to almost 16,000 units in the past 12 months with a further almost 2,000 units under fleet management, up almost 900 units on a year ago.
That makes Ogilvie Fleet, without doubt, one of the fastest growing contract hire and leasing companies through core fleet expansion - as opposed to white label growth via manufacturer-backed leasing schemes.
Gordon Stephen, managing director, Ogilvie Fleet, said: “Ogilvie Fleet is bucking the industry trend in terms of growth, notably due to a series of major outsourcing contract wins such as Colas Rail with almost 900 company cars and light commercial vehicles and we have started to deliver new vehicles to the business; as well as Cambian Group and Voyage Care.
“Notwithstanding fleet industry uncertainty resulting in some fleets putting vehicle replacement on hold due to the well documented introduction of the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) for homologating vehicle emission and MPG data and a lack of company car benefit-in-kind taxation detail post-2020, we are recording significant growth.
“That is down to our contract wins and taking over new clients’ vehicles on fleet management, while also continuing to supply new vehicles on contract hire to both those customers and some existing clients. Our forward order bank is up considerably on where it was 12-18 months ago.
“What’s more, we hope the Chancellor of the Exchequer will provide vehicle tax clarity in the autumn Budget. If he does, I would expect our fleet customers that have put the brake on vehicle replacement to accelerate company car and van renewal.”
We have been using Ogilvie for many years now, except a 3 or 4 year hiatus where we made the mistake of setting up a self-leasing option for our drivers with another company. The service we received from this company was shoddy at best and the communication was very poor.
We came back to Ogilvie about 4 years ago and immediately realised what we had missed; excellent customer service, speedy communication and a very friendly, helpful team. With the addition of an upgraded website which is so user-friendly, we are very happy with Ogilvie and have no reason to go elsewhere.
